ISRO Scientist Selection Process 2025 – Complete Details
1: Between the period of 1858-1947, how many Viceroys ruled over India?
Candidates applying for the ISRO Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts will undergo a two-stage selection process that includes a written examination followed by a personal interview. The final selection will be based on the cumulative performance in both stages.
Stage 1: Written Examination
- The written exam will be held at 11 exam centres across India, including major cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
- ISRO may revise the test venue depending on administrative requirements.
- Candidates will receive call letters via email on their registered IDs.

ISRO Scientist 2025 Eligibility Details
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant engineering discipline with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. The disciplines required are:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electronics posts)
- Mechanical Engineering (for Mechanical posts)
- Computer Science Engineering (for Computer Science posts)
Candidates completing their final year in the academic year 2024-25 can also apply, provided their final degree is awarded by 31.08.2025 and they meet the minimum marks criteria.
Note:
- Allied disciplines may be acceptable as per ISRO guidelines.
- For universities issuing both CGPA and percentage, at least one criterion must meet eligibility.
- For CGPA-only universities, CGPA must meet ISRO standards; conversion formulas are not accepted.
- In Dual/Integrated degree cases, CGPA/percentage relevant to graduation level or as specified by the university will be considered.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit is 28 years as on 16.06.2025. Age relaxation is applicable for serving Central Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per Government of India rules.
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
- Specific vacancies are reserved for PwBD candidates across different disability categories (A to E), including visual, hearing, locomotor, and multiple disabilities.
- Candidates must submit a valid Disability Certificate at the time of the interview, confirming at least 40% disability, issued by a Medical Board as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

ISRO Scientist 2025: Pay Scale and Benefits
Candidates selected for the Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ role will join at Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, earning a starting basic salary of ₹56,100 per month. In addition to the basic pay, the following allowances will be provided in accordance with government norms:
