The Kerala PSC notification for the Computer Programmer post under MATSYAFED announces 01 (One) existing vacancy. This vacancy currently belongs to the General Category (Part I). Any additional vacancies reported later will be distributed in the 5:3:2 ratio among the General Category (Part I), Fishermen/Dependents of Fishermen Category (Part II), and Society Category (Part III). Age Limit

• Eligible age: 18–40 years
• Only candidates born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2007 (both dates included) can apply.

Age Relaxation Notes:

• Upper age limit cannot exceed 50 years under any circumstance.
• Provisional employees of the 29 Co-operative Institutions listed in G.O.(P) No.41/98 (appointed through Employment Exchange) can receive age relaxation up to 5 years, provided they have minimum 1 year of provisional service.
• This concession is applicable only until they secure a regular appointment.

3. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have any one of the following degrees from a recognized university:

• MCA
• B.Tech in Information Technology (IT)
• B.Tech in Computer Science (CSE)
• Or equivalent qualification recognized by Government orders or accepted by the Kerala PSC.

Notes:

• Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS&SSR applies.
• Higher/equivalent qualifications recognized by Government or accepted by PSC are also valid.
• Candidates must produce the relevant Government Order whenever requested.

Kerala PSC Computer Programmer Selection Process 2026

The selection to the post of Computer Programmer in MATSYAFED will be carried out by the Kerala Public Service Commission through the procedures prescribed for direct recruitment.

Kerala PSC Computer Programmer Ranked List Validity & Probation

The ranked list prepared for the Computer Programmer post will remain valid for at least one year and may extend up to three years, ending earlier if a new list is published after the minimum period. If no candidate is advised within three years, the list may be extended for an additional year or until at least one candidate is appointed.

Selection for this post is carried out on a statewide basis, ensuring fair consideration across Kerala. Candidates appointed will be placed on probation for two years, which must be completed within a continuous period of three years as per Rule 184 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules.
