1. Method of Appointment
- Recruitment will be conducted through Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled Tribe only).
- Applications submitted by candidates other than SC/ST communities will be rejected without individual communication.
2. Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 18 and 41 years of age.
- Eligible birth dates: 02.01.1984 to 01.01.2007 (both dates inclusive).
- No general age relaxation is allowed for this post.
- Special Note: If qualified candidates within this age limit are not available, the upper age limit can be relaxed up to 50 years. However, in no case will the maximum age exceed 50 years.
3. Educational Qualifications
Applicants must possess any one of the following:
- Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Civil Engineering OR
- National Trade Certificate in Draftsman Civil OR
- Equivalent / Higher Qualifications (recognized by Government Orders or Standing Orders).

- As per Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR, equivalent qualifications are acceptable.
- Qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government, or those that inherently include the prescribed lower qualification, will also be considered valid.
