Kerala PSC Foreman 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Kerala PSC has invited applications for the post of Foreman under the Kerala State Water Transport department (Category No: 98/2025). Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

Age Criteria:
Applicants should be aged between 18 and 41 years. Only those born between January 2, 1984 and January 1, 2007 (inclusive) are eligible. Relaxations in the upper age limit apply for SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per existing PSC rules. -
Educational Background:
A pass in SSLC or an equivalent qualification is required, along with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering. -
Preferred Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates who have five years of experience in a supervisory role in an automobile workshop, particularly those with expertise in marine diesel engines. -
Skill Assessment:
A practical test will be conducted by the Kerala PSC to evaluate the technical proficiency of candidates during the selection process. -
Other Considerations:
Alternative qualifications recognized by Government orders as equivalent or superior are also valid, provided documentary proof is submitted when required. -
Probation Details:
Selected candidates will serve a probation period of two years, which must be completed within a span of three continuous years from the date of joining.

The selection for the Foreman post will be through direct recruitment, with candidates required to appear for a written or online test conducted by the Kerala PSC. A ranked list of successful candidates will be published, which will stay valid for at least one year and can remain in effect for up to three years or until a new list is issued.
Kerala PSC Foreman 2025 Application Procedure Explained
To apply for the Kerala PSC Foreman post (Category No: 98/2025), candidates must complete the application through the official portal of Kerala PSC via the One Time Registration (OTR) system. New users must register first, while existing users can log in and apply directly.
Applicants need to:
- Click on the relevant post under the notification section and hit ‘Apply Now’.
- Upload a passport-size photo that meets the PSC guidelines. Photos taken after 31.12.2015 are accepted. For new profiles, the photo should be taken within six months and include the candidate’s name and photo date at the bottom.
There is no fee to apply. Once submitted, the application is considered final and uneditable. It’s recommended to save or print a copy for future use.
If the selection involves a written/OMR/online test, candidates will have to confirm their participation within the PSC-specified window to receive their admit card. Applicants should also ensure their Aadhaar number is added as ID proof in their profile.

Kerala PSC Foreman 2025 Salary
Candidates appointed as Foreman through Kerala PSC will draw a salary in the range of ₹39,300 to ₹83,000. Apart from the base salary, they will receive other perks and allowances as permitted under Kerala government service rules.
