• B.Ed. in the concerned subject (Physics) acquired after a regular course of study from any University in Kerala, or a qualification recognized as equivalent.
• In the absence of candidates with B.Ed. in Physics, a B.Ed. in the concerned faculty or any subject (Physics related) will also be accepted.

OR

• M.Sc.Ed in Physics with 50% marks from any Regional Institute of Education sponsored by the National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT).

3. State Eligibility Test (SET)

• Candidates must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or any authorized agency.

Exemptions:

• Candidates who have cleared the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for College Lecturers conducted by Kerala Government are exempt from the SET.
