1. Age Limit
- Age Range: Candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 40 as of January 1, 2024.

- Relaxation in upper age limit up to 43 years is allowed for qualified Ministerial Staff under the Higher Secondary Education Department for direct recruitment to the category of Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior).

Master’s Degree

B.Ed. Qualification
- B.Ed. in the concerned subject (Physics) acquired after a regular course of study from any University in Kerala, or a qualification recognized as equivalent.
- In the absence of candidates with B.Ed. in Physics, a B.Ed. in the concerned faculty or any subject (Physics related) will also be accepted.
OR
- M.Sc.Ed in Physics with 50% marks from any Regional Institute of Education sponsored by the National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT).
3. State Eligibility Test (SET)
- Candidates must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or any authorized agency.
Exemptions:
- Candidates who have cleared the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for College Lecturers conducted by Kerala Government are exempt from the SET.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. or M.Phil. in the concerned subject are also exempt from the SET.
