- Age Range: 19 – 44 years
- Date of Birth Range: Candidates must be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2006 (both dates inclusive).

Educational & Technical Qualifications
Candidates must possess SSLC or its equivalent qualification AND any one of the following:
(a) National Trade Certificate (NTC)
- In the appropriate trade.
- Experience Required: 3 years of work experience in the same trade after obtaining the certificate.
OR
(b) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
- In the appropriate trade.
- Experience Required: 1 year of work experience after obtaining the certificate.
OR
(c) Diploma

In the relevant branch of Engineering from a Government or Government-recognized Polytechnic or its equivalent qualification.
3. Equivalent / Higher Qualifications
- Qualifications recognized as equivalent or higher by Government orders or the Commission are also accepted.
- Qualifications that presuppose the acquisition of the lower qualification (such as higher degrees or diplomas) will also be accepted, provided supporting government orders or equivalency certificates are produced when required.
Experience Exceptions & Relaxations
- Workshop Attender Experience: Experience gained as a Workshop Attender in the relevant trade is also considered valid.
- SC/ST and Differently Abled (Low Vision):
As per GO (P) No.72/2024/LBR dated 09.10.2024, candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently Abled – Blind (Low Vision) are exempted from the experience requirement. -

Low Vision is defined as:

Visual acuity: Not exceeding 6/18 up to 3/60 (in better eye with best correction).

Field of vision: Less than 40 degrees up to 10 degrees.
