The Kerala PSC KWA Meter Reader Recruitment 2025 has notified anticipated vacancies, meaning the exact number of posts will be determined based on the requirements reported by the Kerala Water Authority during the validity period of the ranked list.
The ranked list prepared by the Commission will remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to a maximum of three years, unless a new list is published earlier. During this period, candidates will be advised for appointment against the reported vacancies.
Importantly, 4% of the total vacancies will be reserved for eligible differently-abled candidates, as per G.O.(P) No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
Additionally, the Kerala PSC holds the right to cancel an advice for appointment if it is later found to have been issued by mistake, with termination applicable within the probation period or 240 days from joining, whichever is earlier.

Method of Appointment
The post of Meter Reader in the Kerala Water Authority will be filled through Direct Recruitment.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 18 and 36 years of age, i.e., only those born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.
- Usual age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST categories, as per rules.
- Provisional hands working in the concern will get relaxation in age to the extent of their provisional service (maximum of 5 years), provided they were within the prescribed age limit on the date of their first appointment. Regular employees are not eligible for this concession. A service certificate must be produced when required.
Educational Qualifications
- Pass in SSLC or its equivalent.
- National Trade Certificate (NTC) awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Plumber after completion of a 1-year course, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government/PSC.
Note: Equivalent or higher qualifications, recognized through Government Orders or PSC acceptance, will also be considered valid for this post.

The selection of candidates for the post of Meter Reader in the Kerala Water Authority will be carried out by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) through the following stages:
