1. Educational Qualifications
a) By Transfer Recruitment (Category No: 358/2025)

Candidates must possess a three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant trade from a Government-approved Polytechnic in Kerala or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
b) By Direct Recruitment (Category No: 359/2025)
- Candidates must have the same educational qualifications as required for By Transfer Recruitment.
- Rule 10 a(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
- Equivalent qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing government orders are also accepted. Candidates may be required to produce a copy of such Government orders when requested by PSC.
- Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC-approved universities or institutions established through acts of Parliament or State Legislative Assembly (as per GO(Ms) No. 526/PD dated 17.07.1965) are also acceptable.
2. Age Limit
a) By Transfer Recruitment
- Minimum age: 18 years as on 01-01-2025.
- No upper age limit applies for candidates applying through By Transfer.
b) By Direct Recruitment
- Eligible candidates must be born between 02-01-1989 and 01-01-2007 (both dates inclusive).
- Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) as per general rules.
- Differently-abled candidates are eligible for reservation of 4% of Direct Recruitment vacancies, as per G.O(Rt) No. 13/2024/SJD dated 17.10.2024.

- Candidates applying under By Transfer Recruitment must provide a Service Certificate issued by their Head of Office or Department.
