Kerala PSC Overseer Grade 1 Civil Eligibility Criteria 2026

1. Method of Appointment:

• Direct Recruitment.

2. Age Limit:

• General Candidates: 19 – 36 years (Born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2006, both dates included).

Age Relaxation:

• Other Backward Communities (OBC) and SC/ST candidates are eligible for standard age relaxation.
• Provisional hands working in the concerned organization may get up to 5 years age relaxation, subject to their provisional service and provided they were within the prescribed age on their first appointment. Regular employees are not eligible for this concession. Provisional service must be certified.
• For other age relaxation conditions, refer to Paras 2(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (vi), (vii), and (xii) of the General Conditions.

3. Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained after a 3-year course from a recognized institution or equivalent.

Note:

1. Rule 10(a)ii of Part II of KS&SSR applies.
2. Equivalent qualifications recognized by government executive/standing orders or accepted by the Commission are also valid. Candidates must produce proof of such qualifications when required.

• Total Vacancies: 02 (Two)
• Validity of Ranked List:

• • Minimum: 1 year

  • Maximum: 3 years, or until a new ranked list is published, whichever is earlier

  • Candidates will be considered for current and any fresh vacancies reported during this period

• Reservation for Differently Abled Candidates: 4% of total fresh vacancies, as per G.O.(P) No.05/2024/SJD dated 07.02.2024 and G.O.(P) No.06/2024/SJD dated 28.02.2024

Kerala PSC Overseer Grade 1 Civil Selection Process 2026

Written Test:

• The first stage of selection is a written examination (or OMR/online test as applicable) conducted by Kerala PSC.
• Candidates must submit confirmation through their One Time Registration profile to be eligible to appear for the test.
• Only those who submit confirmation can generate and download admission tickets.

Merit and Ranking:

• Candidates are selected based on their performance in the written test.
• A Ranked List of eligible candidates will be prepared by the Commission, which will be valid for 1 to 3 years.

Probation:

• Selected candidates will undergo probation as per the provisions in the Recruitment Rules of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
• Confirmation of service will be subject to satisfactory completion of the probation period.

Final Appointment:

• Appointment to the post will be made based on the Ranked List and the rules of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
• Candidates must produce all necessary documents (qualification, age, community, etc.) as and when required.

• Candidates must register through One Time Registration (OTR) on the official Kerala PSC website: www.keralapsc.gov.in.
• Registered candidates can log in using their User ID and Password to apply.
• New candidates must upload a recent photograph (taken within 6 months) with their name and date printed at the bottom. The photograph will be valid for 10 years.
