Kerala PSC PCB Assistant Engineer Eligibility 2025 – Age, Qualification

Method of Appointment

• The post of Assistant Engineer in the Kerala State Pollution Control Board will be filled through Direct Recruitment only.

Age Limit

• Candidates must be aged between 18 and 36 years.
• Only those born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates inclusive) are eligible.
• Usual age relaxation applies to OBC and SC/ST candidates.
• In no case shall the maximum upper age limit exceed 50 years.

Special Age Relaxation for Provisional Hands

• Provisional employees of the Kerala State Pollution Control Board are eligible for age relaxation up to 5 years, depending on the length of their provisional service.
• This is valid only if they were within the prescribed age limit at the time of their first provisional appointment.
• Regular employees are not eligible for this concession.
• A service certificate showing the period of provisional service must be produced when required.

Educational Qualifications

• Essential:

  • B.Tech. in Civil Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering or an equivalent degree from a UGC recognized university.

• Preferential Qualification:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology or Public Health Engineering/Technology from a recognized university.

• Equivalency Conditions:

  • Qualifications recognized by government orders or accepted by the Kerala PSC as equivalent will also be considered.

  • Higher qualifications that presuppose the required lower qualification will also be accepted.

  • Candidates must produce the relevant Government Orders declaring equivalency/higher qualification, if applicable.
