1. Method of Appointment

2. Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 20 and 39 years of age.
- Date of Birth Range: Born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2005 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation:

Usual age relaxation applies to:

Scheduled Castes (SC)

Scheduled Tribes (ST)

Other Backward Communities (OBC)

Special Age Relaxation:

Officers working in the following departments are also eligible to apply:

Technical Education Department

Public Works Department

Public Health Engineering Department

Industries Department

Architecture and Town Planning Department

- Such officers will be given age relaxation equal to their service period in these departments.
- However, maximum age limit for such candidates: 50 years as on 01.01.2025.
3. Educational Qualifications

Mandatory Qualification:
-
First Class Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from a recognized University through regular course of study.

Preferred Degrees (in order of preference):
- Degree in Tool & Die Engineering
- Degree in Production Engineering
- Degree in Production cum Plant Engineering

4. Additional Notes on Qualification
- KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
- Candidates with additional (non-qualifying) degrees such as M.Phil/Ph.D/Post Doctoral Fellowship are eligible for weightage marks, provided:

The qualifications were acquired on or before the last date of application submission.

They are claimed properly in the application.

Weightage Marks:

- If a degree like Ph.D is essential for the post, weightage will not be awarded for it.
- Only non-qualifying degrees (additional degrees beyond the basic required degree) earn weightage marks.
5. Equivalent Qualifications

In addition to the prescribed qualifications:

Qualifications recognized by Government via executive or standing orders as equivalent are also acceptable.

Higher qualifications that pre-suppose the lower qualification are also accepted.

Candidates must produce the relevant Government Orders (GO) as proof when required.

6. Validity of Degrees

Degrees/Diplomas must be awarded by:

UGC-approved universities

Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislative Assembly

7. Defence Service Liability
-
Appointees are liable to serve in the Defence Services or on Defence-related assignments:

Minimum of 4 years, including training.

Service can be anywhere in India or abroad.

Liability applies for the first 10 years of service.

Does not apply to candidates above 40 years of age.
