Kerala PSC PWD AE Civil Selection Process 2025
1: Between the period of 1858-1947, how many Viceroys ruled over India?
Kerala PSC follows a structured selection process to recruit Assistant Engineers in the Public Works Department. Candidates must clear all prescribed stages to be considered for appointment.
1. Written Examination
Eligible candidates must appear for a written test (OMR or online), consisting of objective-type questions based on Civil Engineering subjects. The performance in this exam is the primary basis for shortlisting.
2. Interview (If applicable)
In some cases, Kerala PSC may conduct a personal interview for shortlisted candidates to assess suitability for the role.
3. Document Verification
Candidates who clear the exam (and interview, if conducted) must undergo document verification. Original certificates related to age, qualifications, reservation claims, etc., must be produced.
4. Ranked List & Appointment
A merit-based ranked list will be prepared based on performance in the selection stages. This list will remain in force for a minimum of one year, and up to three years, or until a new list is published—whichever is earlier. Appointments will be made from this list as vacancies arise.
5. Probation Period
Every appointed candidate will be on probation for two years, within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. Successful completion of probation is mandatory for regularization in the post.
