Liability to Serve in Defence Service
Selected candidates will be liable to serve a minimum of 4 years, including training, in the Defence Service or on Defence-related assignments, either in India or abroad, if required.

PWD AE Civil selection process incude the following stages;
- Written Test: Objective-type exam based on Civil Engineering syllabus.
- Interview: May be conducted at PSC’s discretion.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce original documents to prove eligibility.
- Rank List: Valid for minimum 1 year, up to 3 years or until a new list is published.
- Probation: Appointees will serve a 2-year probation within a 3-year continuous period from the date of joining.

Selection through Direct Recruitment (G.O.(P) No. 41/94/PW&T dated 03.06.1994).
Age Criteria:
- Applicants must be aged 21 to 40 years (born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2004, inclusive).
