What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Implement small, well‑scoped code changes within an application following design and coding standards.
• Assist in triaging low‑risk production issues and escalate appropriately.
• Execute basic troubleshooting guided by runbooks for Oracle app services and simple integrations.
• Participate in QA handoffs; update unit tests for small features.
• Follow existing software architecture patterns when writing code and translate clear requirements into basic, maintainable components.
• Use existing APIs and document simple dependencies.
• Join customer requirement reviews as an observer and capture notes.
• Incorporate feedback from tickets/maintainers to refine tasks and collaborate within the immediate team while seeking mentorship.

Software Development & Coding (Design, Testing, Optimization)

• Implement simple software solutions with supervision and learn to adhere to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Assist with creating and reviewing code for new features/enhancements following design specifications; develop documents to clarify software design and code.
• Conduct debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix simple software issues; develop fixes for identified issues.
• Assist with implementing software testing (e.g., functional testing) and quality assurance processes.
• Conduct or follow software error logging, monitoring, and observability for effective debugging, following detailed instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to API functionality and integration; assist with implementing API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.

Issue/Defect Collaboration — Product Support

• Communicate with your team to understand customer issues and align solutions.
• May provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding reported issues, with direct supervision.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues to investigate and troubleshoot product maintenance issues to ensure customer agreement on short‑ and long‑term solutions.

Practices, Standards & Security

• Follow detailed guidance from the team related to development practices and coding standards.
• Learn about industry best practices and how to apply them to software development processes; acquire knowledge about secure coding practices to prevent security vulnerabilities.

Development Operations — System Maintenance

• Support basic periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities).
• Acquire knowledge for driving improvements, ensuring automation, testing, and debugging of systems to ensure service/product availability, health, support, and reliability.
