Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) organizes the RPF (Railway Police Force) Examination every year to recruit eligible candidates to the post of Constables and Sub-Inspectors. There is a total of 9739 vacancies declared for both male and female candidates for the upcoming RPF recruitment 2018. The exam will be conducted in September/ October 2018. Since the exam is around the corner, it is now time to take close look at the syllabus and exam pattern and prepare well to ace the test.

The recruitment process involves 3 stages
- Computer Based test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
- Document Verification
Exam pattern for CBT of RRB RPF:
The syllabus for both SI and constable are same, but the difficulty level of the questions for the SI exam will be slightly higher.
The exam will be in the following pattern:

In order to excel in the RPF exam, you must have a clear strategy and planning. The first thing to do is to be thorough with the exam pattern and the syllabus. Creating a study plan is something that will help you organize and plan your preparation effectively. Find out those topics in which you need to spend more time so that to improve in them. General awareness
Almost half of the questions in the exam will be asked from this section. So more attention should be given here. General knowledge is an important deciding factor and you should make sure that you are well aware of the current affairs and related static GK. This cannot be done overnight, be consistent about it. Go through at least 6 months of current affairs and read GK books.
General Intelligence and reasoning
Good analytic skills and presence of mind will come in handy while answering this section. Practice as many different types of questions to make yourself familiar with them. Understand the basic concepts of reasoning to tackle questions easily.
Mathematics
One rule: practice. Learn fast calculation tricks to do problems easily. Go through different concepts and try to memorize squares and cubes and the values of fractions. Quantitative analysis might seem difficult, but it can be tamed by the basic understanding of concepts.
