The railway recruitment board (RRB) is conducts the highly anticipated RRB NTPC examination for graduates and undergraduates in Non-Technical popular categories (NTPC). This is a great opportunity for aspirants who are looking for a government job in Indian railway. RRB will release notifications for various vacancies in RRB in different parts of the country.
The RRB NTPC is divided into two categories-Graduate Level and Under graduate level posts. Graduate level posts includes Traffic Assistant ,Goods guard, Senior commercial cum Ticket clerk, Senior clerk cum Typist, Junior account assistant cum Typist, Senior Time keeper, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master whereas Undergraduate Posts includes Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk. The candidates must prepare very well for RRB NTPC exam as lakhs of candidates are attempting and there is negative marks for each wrong answers. Required Eligibility Criteria for RRB NTPC 2024 Examination

The eligibility criteria set by Railway Recruitment Board for the post of Grade B officer is as mentioned below. Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-
Nationality
A candidate must be either-
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal , Bhutan or
(c) a Tibetan refugee who came to India with the intention of permanently settling in India, before 1st January, 1962 or,
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: Candidate belonging to categories (b), (c) & (d) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.
Age limit
RBI has set minimum age criteria for candidates appearing in RRB NTPC 2024 examination. For Under Graduate Level Posts ( 7th CPC Level-2 and 3), the Date of Birth of candidates should be between the dates given below (both dates included):

NB:-
- Age relaxation will not be allowed for SC/ST/OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.
- PwBD candidates applying against UR vacancies will be allowed age relaxation applicable for UR PwBD only.
- Candidates should note that the date of birth given in the application form must be same as Date of birth in Matriculation/SSLC/Xth Class or an equivalent certificate. No subsequent request for its change will be considered.

Physical Fitness/Medical Eligibility
Another important Criteria of selection process is medical fitness .Candidates called for document verification will have to pass required medical fitness tests conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties required for posts opted by them. Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness of railway staff. The medical standards are outlined below:

Mode of Examination RRB NTPC 2024
There shall be two stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Skill Test. Computer based Aptitude Test for Station Master and Traffic Assistant, Typing Skill Test for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper after skill test followed by document verification and medical examination. For Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, after two stage CBT will have document verification and medical examination.
The Syllabus for prelims and Mains are same except number of questions and marking schemes are different as shown below. The stage 1 CBT exam will be common for all but Stage 2 CBT will be different for each pay band. Tabulated below is the exam pattern-

NB:Only the candidates who have cleared the stage 1 CBT exam is qualified to attempt the next Stage 2 CBT exam. There is 1/3rd negative marking for each incorrect answer.
