RRB NTPC 6th Phase of the First stage Computer-based Test for approximately 6 lakh candidates, was held on April 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8th of 2021. The RRB NTPC 7th Phase of the First stage Computer-Based Test will be conducted for around 2.78 lakh candidates.
RRB is conducting the highly anticipated RRB NTPC examination for graduates and undergraduates in Non-Technical popular categories (NTPC). Recently RRB had revised the vacancies for the RRB NTPC exam, with a total of 35,208 vacancies in various zonal railways and production units of Indian railways.
The RRB NTPC is divided into two categories-Graduate Level and Undergraduate level posts. Graduate-level posts include Traffic Assistant, Goods guard, Senior commercial cum Ticket clerk, Senior clerk cum Typist, Junior account assistant cum Typist, Senior Timekeeper, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master whereas Undergraduate Posts includes Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.

RRB NTPC Exam Dates 2022
RRB had released notification regarding the holding of exams till the current situation prevailing due to the pandemic rests in all states. The recruitment process commenced in December 2020 after easing restrictions imposed on account of Covid19 and is being held in phases. The 6th phase was the last to be conducted in April 2021. RRB has been conducting the stage 1 CBT exam in six phases. The board has already conducted the 3rd Phase exam of the 1st stage CBT-1 from 31st January to 12th February 2021 for approximately 28 lakh candidates. The 4th phase exam was conducted between 15th February to 3rd March 2021. And, the 5th phase was conducted from 4 to 27th March 2021. The 6th phase of the 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) was held on April 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
The 7th and the last phase of the 1st Stage Computer Based Test(CBT-1) is going to be held on 23rd, 24th, 26th and 31st July 2021 for approximately 2.78 lakh candidates.

- Link for viewing the Exam City & Date and downloading of Free Travelling Authority for SC/ST candidates will be made available on all RRB websites 10 days before the exam.
- Downloading of e-Call letters will start 4 days prior to the exam date mentioned in Exam City and date intimation link.
- The necessary intimation is also being sent to all the candidates scheduled in the 7th phase in their E-mail and Mobile numbers given during the online Application.
- Candidates are advised to make use of the HELP DESK for seeking clarifications regarding the exam.
- Candidates are strictly advised to follow COVID related guidelines issued along with the call letter. Candidates will be allowed entry only if wearing a Face mask, which is to be worn throughout.
RRB NTPC CBT 2 Exam Dates 2022
- The 2nd Stage Computer-based Test (CBT-2) for the candidates who get shortlisted for Pay Level-4 and 6 in CBT-1, is tentatively scheduled to be held on 09th and 10th May-2022 subject to the prevailing conditions.
- The exam schedule for Pay levels 2,3 and 5 will be announced later. Candidates are advised to refer only to the official websites of RRBs for the latest updates on the recruitment process. Please do not be misled by unauthenticated sources.
RRB NTPC 7th Phase Exam Notification PDF
Mode of Examination
There shall be a two-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Skill Test. Computer-based Aptitude Test for Station Master and Traffic Assistant, Typing Skill Test for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper after skill test followed by document verification and medical examination. For Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, after two Stage CBT will have document verification and medical examination. The Syllabus for prelims and Mains is the same except the number of questions and marking schemes are different as shown below. The stage 1 CBT exam will be common for all but Stage 2 CBT will be different for each pay band. The time duration for both the 1st & 2nd stages is 90 minutes. Also, there shall be a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer.
Syllabus for 1st & 2nd Stage Computer Based Test
The Syllabus for prelims (1st CBT) and Mains (2nd CBT) are the same except the number of questions and marking schemes are different as shown below. The stage 1 CBT exam will be common for all but Stage 2 CBT will be different for each pay band.
