For Group 2 posts, the selection process has three stages — Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview/Oral Test — while Group 2A posts have only two stages: Preliminary Exam and Main Exam, with no interview. The exam is conducted in both Tamil and English, and candidates can choose their medium.

The Group 1 selection process consists of three stages. Candidates must first appear for the preliminary examination, which serves as a screening test. Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Screening only)
