What is the UPSC CAPF Exam?
Even though the Union Public Service Commission recruits aspirants towards the civil posts it also recruits aspirants towards various armed forces through Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exams and Combined Defence Service (CDS) exams. CAPF refers to the various uniform security forces under the ministry home affairs. It includes five nomenclature uniform jobs such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetin Border Police (ITBP), Sashasthra Seema Bal (SSB).
BSF is entrusted with the duty of protecting guarding the Indo- Bangladesh and Indo- Pakistan borders.
ITBP is entrusted with the duty of guarding the Indo- china border from Karakoram pass in Ladakh to Diphu pass in Arunachal Pradesh.
SSB is entrusted with the duty of guarding Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders.
CRPF is the largest central armed force according to the quantity of personnel it holds. They also include Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (COBRA).
CISF is entrusted with the duty of protecting Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), the Airports of India etc. They are also given the duty during elections and the internal security duty and VVIP protection.

UPSC CAPF Result 2019
UPSC has conducted the CAPF exam for the post Assistant Commandants (ACs) on 18 August 2019 and the final rank list and recruitment recommendation has been published according to the last interview and personality test held on 27 November 2020.
