National Defence Academy (NDA) Naval Academy (NA) every year recruits one of the most dynamic and passionate male candidates for recruitment into the Defence Force of India. NDA 2020 Exam Postponed Dates after 20th May UPSC COVID-19 Situation Review Meeting
UPSC held a meeting on 4th May 2020 to review the situation after the second phase of the nation-wide lockdown due to COVID-19 and delay in UPSC NDA 2020 Exam. SSB Interview and Joining of New Batches might get delayed due to COVID-19 Lockdown. Let’s look at the details.
In a recent notification, UPSC has stated that “The situation will be reviewed again on May 20, 2020 and fresh dates for these examinations shall be notified on the UPSC website in due course”. The Commission held a special meeting on May 4, 2020, to review the situation after the second phase of the nation-wide lockdown due to COVID-19. Taking notice of the extension of restrictions, the Commission decided that it will not be possible to resume examinations and interviews for the present”.
Statement Issued by UPSCCommission:
“As and when dates are decided for the deferred tests/examinations, it will be ensured that candidates are given a notice of at least 30 days“.Earlier, UPSC at its official website – upsc.gov.in notified that NDA (1) 2020 Exam which was scheduled to be held on 19th April 2020 got postponed due to COVID-19 Outbreak.

- The rise in no. of cases of the Corona Virus has led the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to declare a complete lockdown in the country from midnight of 24th March to 14th April 2020.
- Therefore, to avoid gathering of people in masses the NDA Exam 2020 has been called off.
- However, one can expect fresh dates only after 17th May if the prevailing circumstances improve.
