Prior to preparation, an aspirant should know about the exam pattern and the complete syllabus of the examination.

Exam Pattern

The NTPC exam screening will be having Four phases and the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories are as follows:

UR-40%,  EWS40%, OBC ( Non-creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.

• Stage I Computer Based Test (CBT) – Common for all notified posts in the notification.

There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

• Stage II Computer Based Test (CBT)

A separate CBT shall be taken for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 with a graded difficulty level. All posts falling within the same level of 7th CPC shall have a common 2nd stage CBT.

• The third stage will be the Skill test – Typing Skill Test/ Computer-based Aptitude Test.

RRB NTPC Study Materials- Offline and Online 

Both methods, whether- online or offline- are up to the interest of the candidate. In the offline mode, the candidate has to select topics and set a syllabus schedule and should complete it within the period. Whereas, in the online platform, the topics to be covered will be assigned and discussed. The experts in each area of the subject introduce the points to you.
