IBPS PO 2020 Eligibility Criteria
1: What does the acronym "ATM" stand for in banking?
A candidate who wants to appear for the upcoming year’s exam should check that they fulfill the criteria required. Also, consider the age relaxation provided. The Eligibility Criteria for IBPS PO Exam includes the following conditions to be fulfilled:
Nationality:
The applicant should be:
- A Citizen of India
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan refugee who is permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962
- Person of Indian origin who has migrated from either Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing in India permanently.
Educational Qualification:
- An applicant possessing a graduate degree (such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech) from a recognized university. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/ she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering for the exam.
- Also, candidates possessing degree equivalent to the mentioned qualification are also eligible.
Knowledge of Computers:
As the exams are now conducted online, candidates need to know the basic working of computer.
Language Proficiency: Verbal and written knowledge of the state/ UT is desirable.
Age Limit (As on 01.08.2020):
The candidates minimum and maximum age should be 20 years and 30 years respectively.
(NB: A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.2000 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS has released revised notification of 3517 vacancies for the recruitment of Probationary Officer or Management Trainee. The vacancies will be filled in the participating banks in 2021-22. Category wise vacancy details will help in getting clearer picture on the vacancy distribution structure.

Previously released number of vacancies are 1417. As per the revised IBPS PO 2020 Notification, almost 2100 vacancies were increased for the PO/ Management Trainee post. Now the total number of vacancies are 3517.
IBPS PO 2020: Apply Online
The interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 05th August 2020 to 26th August 2020, and no other mode of applications will not be accepted. The applicants can follow the given steps to complete their application easily and error free.
Pre-Requisites for Applying Online
Before applying to the post the candidate is required to keep scanned copies of his/her photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm), signature, left thumb impression (If the candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document), personal details and educational qualifications too.
Steps to Apply
- Primarily, the candidates are required to visit the IBPS’s official website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page.
- Click on the link “CRP PO/MT” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (CRP-PO/MT-X)” to open the On-Line Application Form.
- The candidates will have to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic details like Name, Gender, Age, Education, Address, etc. in the online application form.
- After that a registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should jot down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent to the given Email ID and Phone Number.

6. The candidates are advised to careful attention while filling up the online application. Before clicking “SAVE AND NEXT”, you should check twice each details that you have entered.
7. No change is permitted after clicking on FINAL SUBMIT Button. Candidates should make the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only.
8. Finally, Click on the “SUBMIT” button.
9. Save a copy of application for future reference.
IBPS PO Application Reopens for whom?
The application window of IBPS PO 2020 is reopened for some candidates, the following categories are the exception:
- For the candidates who failed to apply earlier during 5 August – 26 August 2020.
- For the candidates who will obtain the eligibility in educational qualification by 11 November 2020.
Note: Candidates who had already applied for the IBPS PO Recruitment 2020 in the month of August and have appeared for the IBPS PO Prelims 2020 exam on 3, 10 & 11 October should not apply again now.
IBPS PO Exam Application Fees
The candidates are required to pay a certain amount of Application Fees/ Intimation Charges (Applicable GST will be borne by IBPS). The Application Fees/ Intimation Charges are payable from 05th to 26th August 2020 along with the application. The application fees should be of Online payment, only.

IBPS PO 2020 Selection Process
The candidates will be appointed on the basis of their performance in the three stages of the IBPS PO Exam 2020. There are three stages of IBPS PO Exam.
- Prelims Exam
- Mains Exam
- Interview
The candidates will have score a section cut-off as well as an overall cut-off. The selection process requires the qualification of each stage in order to get finally selected. The prelims round is qualifying while the mains exam requires the minimum cut-off marks to appear for the interview round. Interviews will be conducted by the participating organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT. The interview round holds 100 marks.
Exam Pattern of IBPS PO 2020
Exam pattern is the detail of the examination covering the question type, sections of the exam, duration of the exam, number of questions asked. The IBPS PO Exam consists three stages such as: Prelims, Mains and Interview. Check out following tables for the detailed view of exam pattern.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
- The prelims exam consists of a total of 100 questions.
- Total duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.
- Questions will be Objective/Multiple Choice questions.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the exam for each wrong answer.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern
- Questions type are of Multiple Choice with a slightly higher difficulty level than Prelims exam.
- The Number of questions will be 155.
- And the duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes for English Language proficiency exam.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer.

IBPS PO Interview
The interview is the final stage of IBPS PO Exam.
- Candidates qualifying with good marks in Prelims and mains will finally be appearing for the interview process.
- The total marks allotted for interview round is 100.
- The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online Main Exam and interview will be in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Syllabus: The mains exam is the important phase of IBPS PO 2020 Exam. Maximum weightage is given to score obtained by candidate in IBPS PO Mains Exam in the final selection to the post of Probationary Officer. The Mains Examination of IBPS PO exam 2020 consists of 4 + 1 sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative, Aptitude & General Awareness. IBPS PO 2020 Admit Card Details
Candidates should download the IBPS PO 2020 admit card from the official website. The authority will not sent the hard copy of IBPS PO Admit Card via post. To download the admit card from the official website, candidates will require the following:

- Date of Birth/ Password
The admit card will be available 10 to 15 days before the IBPS PO 2020 Exam. The admit card or call letter for IBPS PO 2020 will be issued for each exams in three phases: Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Interview.

IBPS PO 2020 Salary Details
In the majority of the public sector banks, the Salary of the PO is more or less the same. The latest revision of Bank PO’s salary as per the 10th Bipartite settlement took place on Nov 2012; nonetheless, the final agreement was signed in May 2015. According to which the revised salary of Bank PO will come into effect from 1st January 2016.
The revised basic pay of PO thus becomes:
23700 – (980 x 7) – 30560 – (1145 x 2) – 32850 – (1310 x 7) – 42020
Here Rs. 23700/- is the revised basic pay of Bank PO as applicable on 1st January 2016. Thus the new entrant in a Bank as PO is liable to get Rs. 23,700/- as basic pay. Rs. 980/- is the annual increment that a Bank PO will get and it will be applicable for a period of 7 years.
