The online application portal for the CBI SO exam is currently open for eligible candidates till 02 March 2022 on the official website centralbankofindia.co.in.
As per the official notice, the CBI SO Exam will be conducted on 27 March 2022. 19 vacancies for the Specialist Officer vacancy divided for each category are open for recruitment. The CBI SO post selection process includes a written examination followed by a personal interview round.

CBI SO Exam 2022: Eligibility Criteria
1: What does the acronym "ATM" stand for in banking?
Banking aspirants must carefully go through the eligibility criteria released by the conducting authority as the candidate has to meet the requirements to apply for the exam. The eligibility criterion with factors of age requirement, age limitation, and educational qualification for the CBI SO Exam 2022 is as follows:
- Age Requirement
The minimum age requirement to apply for the CBI SO Exam 2022 as per the official notification is 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years. The age differs for different categories and posts.
- Age Limitation
Age relaxation/limitation is provided by the Central Bank of India to the reserved categories for the Specialist Officer exam. Age relaxation differs for each reserved category and to claim age relaxation, the candidate must provide an original document of proof.
i) Other Backward Classes: candidate’s age relaxation given by the Central bank of India is of 3 years.
ii) Children/Family members: of those who have died in the year 1984 due to riots are of 3 years.
iii) Persons domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir: domiciled during the period from 1980 to 1989 is of 5 years.
iv) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years.
All the given requirements have to be fulfilled by the candidates to avail the benefit of age limitation/relaxation.
- Educational Qualification
The educational qualification for a Specialist Officer as Information Technology, Senior Manager of CBI is 4 years of engineering degree in computer science/ computer application/IT/telecommunications from a recognized institute.

CBI SO Exam 2022: How to Apply?
- Application Process
Given below is the step-by-step guidance on applying for the CBI SO Exam 2022:
Step 1: Visit the official website centralbankofindia.co.in. Here, the candidate will have to complete their registration using a valid phone number and mail ID. A password will be generated once the registration is done. This password should be remembered to fill out the application form.
Step 2: Signature (black ink on white paper), passport size photograph, Aadhar card number, and necessary documents have to be uploaded as per the requirement shown on the portal. The documents have to be uploaded in jpg/jpeg format.
Step 3: As no corrections or changes could be made after submission, candidates have to be careful about the details entered.
Step 4: The payment for the application has to be done via online mode.
Step 5: The printout of both the e-receipt generated and the application form of CBI SO Exam 2022 have to be taken by the candidate.
- Application Fee
The application fee for CBI SO Exam 2022 is non-refundable and includes GST@18%. For general and reserved categories, the application fee is different. The application fee for all the other candidates is Rs.500 (and an added Rs.50 as intimation charge) whereas Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category candidates do not have an application fee and will have to pay only an intimation charge of Rs.50.
