TNPSC Group 2 Exam: All about it
TNPSC also known as Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is constituted by the government of India. They have the responsibility for the recruitment of personnel into the Tamil Nadu State’s public service. TNPSC has four successive divisions of exams. They are Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4.
Group 2 exam has two different posts, which are Interview post and Non-interview post (Group 2a).
- Group 2 and 2A services in the Tamil Nadu PSC are one of the highly attractive and competitive examinations in the state.
- In TNPSC Group 2 services there are nearly 18 designations spread across the various departments. Group 2 services posts are usually available with the Subordinate Service, Ministerial Service, and Secretariat Services of Tamil Nadu state government.
- The Group 2 service is one grade higher than that of Grade 02A.
- TNPSC Group 2A has been merged with Group 2, hence a common notification for the recruitment will be released. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the website https://apply.tnpscexams.in once the notification is released.
- While Group 2 is done based on the preliminary examination, main written examination and Interview, candidates for Group 2A are selected based on marks secured in the written exam only.
