What Upstox Is Looking For

Upstox seeks Data Analyst Interns who are passionate about leveraging data and AI to solve business problems. The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong analytical thinking
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other generative AI platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate data from multiple sources
• Use Python for data analysis, automation, data cleaning, and reporting
• Create dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio
• Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) to improve productivity, automate workflows, and accelerate analysis
• Support business teams by generating reports, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and present findings to stakeholders
• Assist in developing data pipelines and process automation initiatives
• Collaborate with product, operations, marketing, and business teams on data-driven projects
• Document analytical methodologies and maintain data quality standards

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields
• Knowledge of statistics and hypothesis testing
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory data analysis
• Experience with APIs, automation tools, or workflow orchestration
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
