AIOps Developer Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software components for AIOps and monitoring-related applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building backend services, APIs and utilities to support operational automation and system visibility.
• Working with logs, alerts and application data to develop features that improve monitoring and issue detection.
• Contributing to internal tools and dashboards that help teams track application health and system performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable software solutions.
• Participating in debugging, issue fixing, code reviews and unit testing.
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-documented code according to engineering best practices.
• Supporting the continuous improvement of application performance, quality and usability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates applying for the IBM AIOps Developer role should have a Bachelor’s Degree and knowledge of software development or application engineering.

The required technical and professional expertise includes:

• Good programming knowledge in Java, Python or a similar programming language.
