IBPS Clerk recruitment is one of the best opportunities for those who wish for a career in the banking domain. The recruitment is conducted by the Institute of Personnel Selection every year for the selection of Clerical Cadre vacancies in public sector banks.

The IBPS Clerk selection process consists of three stages:
- Preliminary examination
- Mains examination
- Language proficiency test
There will not be any interview process in IBPS Clerk recruitment. The IBPS Clerk Recruitment online application process ended on 10th October 2018.
IBPS Clerk 2018 Preliminary examination
- The preliminary test is only a qualifying examination for screening the candidates for appearing in the mains examination. The marks obtained in the prelims will not be added for the final selection of the candidates.
- A sectional timing of 20 minutes has been imposed for each section of the prelims test. You need to clear sectional as well as the overall cutoff to clear prelims exam.
- The candidates have to qualify this exam to be eligible to attend the mains examination. The cutoff marks will be published by IBPS after the exam considering the difficulty level of the question paper.
IBPS Clerk 2018 Mains Examination
1: What does the acronym "ATM" stand for in banking?
- The marks of this test will be considered for the final selection so in order to crack IBPS Clerk 2018, prepare well for the mains test.
- The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi.
- Based on the marks of mains examination, eligible candidates are shortlisted for selection.
IBPS Clerk 2018 Language Proficiency Test
- Candidates proficiency in the local language of the region of posting will be tested by the bank to which they are allotted. A language proficiency test will be conducted by a process decided by the bank itself.
- Under this test, you may be asked to write a passage or asked a few questions in the concerned language. The institute also holds the right to cancel your candidateship if you happen to fail in this language proficiency test.
