ISRO Teacher Recruitment 2022 Selection Process
The ISRO Selection Process 2022 for Teachers entangles a Written Test and a Skill Test. The contenders will be shortlisted for the Skill Test based on their performance in the written test. The shortlist of the contenders will be organized in a 1:7 ratio where a minimum of 10 contenders will be selected for the Skill Test from each category based on the total number of vacancies for each post. The contenders who will function better in the Skill Test will be called for Document Verification and the final shortlist will be unleashed based on the marks obtained by the contenders in their Written Tests.
Written Test
The Written Test will be performed by ISRO in various cities across the country. The Written test will be performed online via Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 2 hours and 3o minutes for each paper. There will be two papers- Paper-I and Paper-II. The contenders will have to solve 150 questions each for Paper-I and Paper-II. The main objective of the Written Test is to test the theoretical and practical knowledge of the contenders based on the depth and breadth of the prescribed curriculum.
Skill Test
Based on the result of the Written Test, the contenders will be shortlisted for the Skill Test. The Skill Test will purely be on a go-no-go basis. The contenders must ensure at least 60% marks on a 100-point scale. The marks received in the Skill Test will not be considered in the final selection process. The contenders will be assessed based on chalk and board test to evaluate their teaching skills. The contenders will be provided a subject-oriented topic, and they have to show their knowledge and teaching ability, and overall handling of the subject.
Document Verification
The contenders who functioned well and can ensure the minimum qualifying marks of 60% in the Skill Test will be shortlisted for the Document Verification. The contenders must bring their documents for verification and after sufficient completion of scrutiny of the certificates, marks sheets and other documents, the contenders will be assessed for the ISRO Teacher Recruitment 2022.
Final Shortlist
The Final Shortlist will be designed based on the contenders who have qualified in the Skill Test and Document Verification. The Final Selection of the contenders will be based on the marks acquired by the contenders in their Written Tests. The empanelment of the contenders will be done in order of the marks received in the Written Test based on the number of vacancies released for each post.
In case of a tie in the score received in the Written Test, there are certain tie-breakers specified in the ISRO Teacher Notification. They are as follows-
- The First Tie Breaker would be the academic scores of the basic qualification prescribed, i.e Post-graduation/Graduation/Senior Secondary.
- The 2nd tie-breaker on a requirement basis will be the age of the contender (senior candidate will be placed ahead).
- Wherever posts are committed and a sufficient number of such reserved contenders are not available for `short-listing for skill test in the defined ratio’ or for `empanelment (select list & wait list)’, then relaxation in qualifying standards (both written test & skill test) will be developed to such contenders to make good the short-fall.
