• • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a UGC/AICTE-recognized university/National/State institution
    OR

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ experience in construction/maintenance of sea-going or inland vessels

  • Equivalent/higher qualifications recognized by Government or KPSC are also acceptable. Experience claims must be supported by valid certificates in prescribed format.

• Probation: 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years
• Tests: Must pass the Account Test for Executive Officers of Kerala State during probation if not already passed

  • Associate Membership Diploma of Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering

  • Any other qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government
