The examination dates for the Kerala PSC Departmental Test for Junior Members of IAS, IFS, and IPS are out! The examinations (both Lower and Higher Standards) will be held at the Office of the Kerala Public Service Commission, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram from 22nd July till 30th July 2021. The Departmental Test syllabus for the Junior IAS, IPS and IFS officers is updated on this page. There will be a viva voice test or Language Test followed by a written test. In this viva, candidates whose mother tongue is not Malayalam has to go through three sections, namely:
- Reading a manuscript in Malayalam and explaining it in English.
- Answering questions in Malayalam put by the Examiners from the Malayalam passage given for Translation
- Discussion with the Members of the Board in Malayalam on any topic of general and current interest suggested by the Board of Examination
