Kerala PSC Fire Force Station Officer 2020
Kerala PSC has invited applications by ‘One Time Registration’ from qualified candidates for the Station Officer (Trainee) post. Differently abled and female candidates are not eligible to apply for this post, only Male graduates are eligible for this post. PSC has yet to declare the number of vacant positions. The previous recruitment for these same posts was in 2017. Selected candidates will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 30,700 – 65,400 in Kerala Fire and Rescue services.
Candidates appointed by direct recruitment to the post of Station Officer in Fire and Rescue services shall execute a bond binding himself to serve in the department for a period of 7 years and shall pay to Government a sum of Rs. 8000/– in case he fails to serve in the department for the said period.

Fire Force Officer Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification: Graduation in Science from any UGC recognized University preferably in
Chemistry. Candidates should have a good record in Sports and Games (Preferential). - Age Limit: Candidates age shall be between 21 years and 29 years. Candidates born between
1989 January 02 and 2000 January 01 (both dates included) only eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities and SC/ ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. The Clerks of the Fire and Rescue Department the upper age limit for appointment as Station Officer by direct recruitment
shall be 39 years. Other conditions regarding age relaxations are not applicable for this post.

KERALA PSC CHEMISTRY MALAYALAM QUESTIONS
Probation and Training
Candidates appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. The trainee shall within the prescribed period of
probation, pass the following test if he has not already passed them namely:-
- The department test in the Kerala Fire Force Standing Orders and Practice.
- St.John’s Ambulance Examination in First Aid.
- Account Test (Lower).
Selected candidates have to undergo the training in the State Fire Service Training School/ National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other recognized Fire Service Institution as directed from the department. The training period would be as of the institute where the candidates seek training. Candidates must pass in the examination in the subjects prescribed for the course. After completing this course, candidates have to undergo training for an actual period of six months on duty with a fully trained Assistant Divisional Officer/ Station Officer
before independent posting to the station.
