Kerala PSC HSA Natural Science 2025 Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit
- The age limit for candidates is 18 to 40 years. Only candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
- Age Relaxations:
- OBC and SC/ST candidates are eligible for the usual age relaxations as per government norms.
- The upper age limit, after applying relaxations, shall not exceed 50 years under any circumstances.

2. Educational Qualifications
- Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- A Degree in the concerned subject (Botany or Zoology) and a B.Ed./BT in the concerned subject, both recognized by Universities in Kerala.
- Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET): Must have passed K-TET Category III, conducted by the Government of Kerala.
- Equivalent or Higher Qualifications:
- Degrees or diplomas awarded by UGC-approved universities or those established through acts of Parliament/State Legislative Assembly are acceptable.
- Candidates with specific equivalent qualifications are also eligible. Examples include:
- B.Sc. Biotechnology with B.Ed. in Natural Science.
- B.Sc. Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology (Bharathiyar University).
- B.Sc. Ed in Chemistry-Botany-Zoology stream (Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, NCERT).
- B.Ed. in Life Science obtained through regular courses of study from universities inside or outside Kerala recognized as equivalent to B.Ed. in Natural Science.
- Exemption from K-TET:
- Candidates with qualifications like C-TET, NET, SET, M.Phil, Ph.D., or M.Ed. are exempted from acquiring K-TET. However, C-TET is not considered an alternative qualification for K-TET Category III.
- Special Notes on Qualification:
- Applicants must have pursued Botany or Zoology as the main subject in their degree or postgraduate courses.
- Those with Microbiology, Home Science, or Family and Community Science degrees obtained before 22.09.2022 are also eligible if they possess a B.Ed. in Natural Science.
- Specific government orders clarify additional acceptable qualifications (e.g., GO(MS) No. 235/2022/GEdn, GO(MS) No. 124/2024/GEdn).
4. Special Concessions
- Wives of Jawans:
