1. Age Limit
- General Candidates: 20 to 39 years
- Only candidates born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2004 (both dates included) are eligible.
- Age Relaxation:
- Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Communities as per government norms.
- Officers from Technical Education, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Industries, Architecture, and Town Planning Departments can apply with age relaxation equal to their service years (maximum age: 50 years as of 01/01/2024).
2. Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification:
- First-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university:
- Degree in Electronics (preferred)
- Degree in Applied Electronics
- Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering
- The qualification must be acquired through a regular course of study.
- First-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university:
- Additional Qualification Weightage:
- Non-qualifying degrees (M.Phil, Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Fellowship) in relevant subjects will be awarded weightage marks:
- M.Phil: 2 marks
- Ph.D.: 4 marks
- Both M.Phil and Ph.D.: 5 marks
- Post-Doctoral Fellowship: 2 marks
- Weightage applies only if the additional qualification is acquired before the last application date and is not an essential qualification for the post.

5. Defence Service Liability
- Selected candidates must serve for a minimum of 4 years (including training) in Defence Services, if required, during the first 10 years of service. This condition is waived for candidates over 40 years of age.
