Kerala Water Authority Pump Operator Eligibility Criteria
The Pump Operator position in Water Authority is one of those positions which always recruits hundreds from the single rank list. With a pay scale of Rs. 20100-53300 this will be a break for the ITI holders to start their career in the state service. Even from the last rank list, PSC has given advice memo to at least 1063 candidates making this position highly desirable for hundreds of candidates.
- Age Limit: Candidates age shall be betwen19 years and 36 years as of January 01, 2021. Only candidates born between January 01, 2002, and January 02, 1984 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities and Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes are eligible for usual age relaxation. In no case, the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 years.
The regular employees working in the Water Authority will be given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service put in subject to a maximum of five years from the upper age limit provided they are within
the prescribed age limit on the date of their first appointment in the KWA. But the regular employees of the Kerala Water Authority are not eligible for the above concession for further appointment. The provisional hands should obtain a certificate showing the period of their regular service in the KWA and shall produce the same as and when required by the PSC. It would also be clearly specified in the certificate that they were not working in the regular service of the concern.
- Education Qualification: Candidates applying for the Pump operator position in KWA should have completed:
- Matriculation/ SSLC or its equivalent qualification from any recognized board.
- National Trade Certificate in Mechanic (Motor Vehicle / Electrician).
Any candidate appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
