Every year the banking sector provides thousands of job opportunities in India. Across India, both scheduled banks and private banks conduct different recruitment process. Banking jobs provide social security with a heavy paycheck. These 9 to 5 jobs provides various allowances along with the basic pay and attracts lakhs of aspirants towards these bank tests. Most of these tests have a similar syllabus and exam pattern. So if you are preparing for one of these tests then you can try your luck in other tests too. Only the SBI, and RBI tests have the maximum number of attempts criteria. So while appearing for these tests make sure to appear for the tests only after proper preparations. There is no such attempts limit for other bank tests like IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI Clerk, RBI Assistant, etc.

Maximum Number of Attempts for Bank Exams
The attempts of State Bank of India (SBI) PO exams are restricted. A general category candidate can appear for the SBI PO only four times. Similarly, the RBI grade B exam also has a maximum attempt cap. There is no limit for the IBPS, and RBI Assistant exams while there is attempt limit for only SBI PO exams. For all other bank tests, only the upper age limit is the limit. The number of attempts for different banking exams is as follows:
Maximum Number of Attempts for SBI Probationary Officer
The number of attempts will be applicable and counted from the year 2010 onwards. If you qualify the Preliminary examination and appear in Mains, then only prelims attempt will be counted as a chance. The number of changes vary according to the different categories as given below:

Maximum Number of Attempts: RBI Grade B
The maximum number of attempts for General Category is six times for the RBI Grade-B Phase-I Examination. But there is no such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD, if the posts are reserved for them.
