The Madhya Pradesh Teaching Eligibility Test (MPTET) examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) is a yearly state-level eligibility examination. This exam held in the State of Madhya Pradesh is attended by candidates who wish to find opportunities in the government schools for posts in lower and upper primary and higher secondary schooling levels. Candidates have the option to choose either levels or both levels for application and selection. Rejection of the application may occur if the candidate applying does not meet the eligibility criteria requirements.
The MPPEB will be soon releasing the application form for the MPTET Examination 2022 on the official website http://peb.mp.gov.in/ . The exam is conducted at 16 centers. The mode of application for MPTET 2022 is via online.

MPTET Exam 2022: Selection Process
1: Who was the first woman President of India?
The selection process for the MPTET Examination 2022 includes:
- Submission of Application
- Attempt of examination (Paper 1, Paper 2 or both) on the date given
- Passing/qualifying the MPTET Examination 2022
- Document verification
Paper 1 of MPTET 2022 is attended by candidates looking for teaching posts for classes I to V
Paper 2 of MPTET 2022 is attended by candidates looking for teaching posts for classes VI to VIII
Candidates who wish to look for teaching posts for both schooling levels (I to V and VI to VIII) will have to attend both Paper I and Paper 2.
The primary stage examination for classes I to V under Paper 1 consists of 150 MCQ questions. The duration for Paper 1 is two-and-half-hours. Each correct answer is given 1 mark. The subjects for Paper 1 are:
i) Child Development and Pedagogy
ii) Language I (Compulsory)
iii) Language II (Compulsory)
iv) Mathematics
v) Environmental Studies
The elementary stage examination for classes VI to VIII under Paper 2 consists of 150 MCQ questions. The duration for Paper 1 is two-and-half-hours. Each correct answer is given 1 mark. The subjects for Paper 1 are:
i) Child Development and Pedagogy
ii) Language I (Compulsory)
iii) Language II (Compulsory)
iv) Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies/Social Science
The expected cut-off marks for the MPTET 2022 exam is 60% – 90 % for candidates under General category and 50% – 82% for candidates under OBC/SC/ST/PH category or government servants.
MPTET Exam 2022: Results
The MPPEB will declare the results of MPTET 2022 on their official website http://peb.mp.gov.in/ . The candidates will receive the appointment letter once they meet the required qualifying score and document verification is done. For future references, candidates can keep a printout of the MPTET 2022 result.
MPTET Exam 2022: Salary and Benefits
The candidates who receive the appointment letter are eligible for their respective teaching posts. Once the candidate fulfills the probation period of three years, the salary structure for these candidates recruited by MPPEB will be based on the 7th pay commission.
