PSSSB Punjab Police Jail Warden Recruitment 2021

Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab has released PSSSB Jail Warden Recruitment online notification inviting applications for the posts of Warden and Matron in Punjab Police Jail Department. Therefore, interested and eligible candidates can apply online through PSSSB’s official website sssb.punjab.gov.in before 31 May 2021. The last date for payment of the PSSSB application fee is 02 June 2021.

A total number of 847 vacancies are available, out of which 815 vacancies are for the post of Warden (males only) and 32 vacancies are for the post of Matron (females only).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. Warden – The candidate applying for the warden post should have cleared 10+12, along with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language which can be specified by the Government.
2. Matron – The candidate applying for the matron post should have cleared 10+12, along with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language which can be specified by the Government.

• Physical Eligibility Test (PET)

The candidates applying for the posts shall go through the below mentioned physical eligibility test

1. 100 Meters Run
2.  Shot Put
3.  Rope Climbing

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Warden PMT

Minimum Height:

• 5 feet 7 inches
• 5 feet 4-1/2 inches (Dogras and Gurkhas)

Chest:

• 33 inches un-expanded
• 34 1/2 inches expanded

Vision:

• Normal in both eyes (with/without spectacles) (must not be colour blind)

Matron PMT

Minimum Height:

5 feet and 3 inches (for female)

Weight:

50 Kgs

Vision:

Normal in both eyes (with/without spectacles) (must not be colour blind)

How to Apply?

• Eligible candidates have to apply only through online on the official website sssb.punjab.gov.in from 10^th May 2021 to 31^st May 2021 (up to 5:00 PM). No registration forms shall be accepted after this.
• After receiving the online Application Number, candidate should upload a scanned copy of passport size photo, signature, 10th standard Punjabi certificate, Qualifying exam certificate. Only .jpg, .png and .gif file formats are accepted.
• Applications without scanned photo, signature and other required documents will be rejected.
• Name, Father’s name, Date of birth and category filled on the application form cannot be corrected once entered
• The candidate should fill his/her form carefully. No correction/changes will be allowed once the form is submitted.
• The last date for submission of fee payment is 02 June 2021

• General – Rs. 1000
• SC/ BC/ EWS – Rs. 250
• Ex-Servicemen & Dependent – Rs. 200
