SSC CHSL Cut Off Marks 2025 – Category Wise

The entrance examination for Staff Selection Commission CHSL Tier 1 will be conducted shortly and there will be 100 questions which will be included in the entrance examination. The students will be provided two marks each for the objective type MCQ questions. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for wrong answers in the entrance examination. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will normalize the scores of candidates who appeared in the SSC CHSL 2025 Exam. As the exam is being conducted in multi-shifts , the normalization method will take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different shifts.

SSC CHSL Cut off 2025

The Staff Selection Commission is all set to conduct the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination to recruit candidates to various vacant positions. Age Limit: 18 years -27 years

Educational Qualification

• For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The applicants should have passed 12^th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or
• For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): The candidates should be 12th pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025

The SSC CHSL (10+2) exam pattern has a preliminary stage of the test, which would be objective and the second stage would be another CBT along with skill test. 

Tier-I CHSL Preliminary Exam

• Tier-I is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with objective-type questions.

• It has 4 sections: English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

• Each section has 25 questions, carrying 2 marks each (Total: 100 questions, 200 marks).

• The total time is 60 minutes. PwBD candidates using a scribe get 80 minutes.

• Negative marking: 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

• The exam is conducted in English, Hindi, and regional languages (except English section).

• All questions are multiple choice with four options.

• Questions test basic knowledge and reasoning ability.

• Marks of Tier-I are used for preparing the final merit list.

Tire – II Computer Based Test

• Tier-II is conducted in two sessions on the same day.

• Session-I has three sections:

  • Section-I: Maths + Reasoning (1 hour total)

  • Section-II: English + General Awareness (1 hour total)

  • Section-III: Computer Knowledge (15 minutes)

• Each correct answer in Sessions I–III carries 3 marks.

• Negative marking: 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

• Session-II is for Skill/Typing Tests depending on the post:

  • Part A: For Data Entry Operators in specific ministries.

  • Part B: For other Data Entry Operators.

  • Part C: For Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA).

• Skill and Typing Tests are qualifying in nature, i.e., marks not counted in final merit.

• Extra time is given to scribe-eligible candidates as per rules.

• Questions are Objective/MCQ type and available in English, Hindi, and regional language (except English section).

• You must qualify all sections to be considered for selection.
