SSC CHSL Exam Date 2022: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level, CHSL (10+2) exam to select eligible candidates across the country to various Ministries or organizations. Through this recruitment, the commission hires candidates to positions like Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operators. The SSC CHSL selection process has three stages screening process; two stages of exams and skill tests. The commission has recently concluded the Preliminary stage exam for the 2022 recruitment cycle, after postponing the same a couple of times. Among the rescheduled tests, the long pending skill tests for the 2022 CHSL recruitment also got new dates. SSC has decided to conduct the skill tests on November 2022 across SSC regional centres for all shortlisted candidates.

SSC CHSL Exam Date 2022: Staff Selection Commission is one of the government organizations, which recruits staff under various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. Every year the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level- CHSL, 10+2 Exam for various positions like:
- Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants or PA/SA
- Data Entry Operator or DEO
- Lower Divisional Clerk or LDC
- Court Clerk
The SSC CHSL recruitment process has two sets of Computer-Based Tests followed by skill tests and medical tests. The skill test varies based on the post, while the typing speed for the Data Entry operator is 8,000 Key Depressions, that of the Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDS/ JSA) and Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants (PA/SA) will be 10500 Key Depressions. The skill test will be of qualifying in nature, so the candidate’s performance in the test matters in the rank list.

SSC CHSL Skill Test
The skill tests/ typing tests will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission themselves or the agency hired by the commission on the computers provided either by an authorized agency or by the commission itself. Commission usually conducts the skill tests at the regional offices or any centres chosen by them. The typing test/ Skill Test will be of qualifying nature only, and mandatory for Data Entry Operators, and the mistakes will be calculated up to 2 decimal places.
For the skill tests, examinees will be provided with the passage, and the required Key Depressions per hour on Computer for the Data Entry Operator positions is 8000. For the 15 minutes test, each candidate will get the English passage of about 2000-2200 key-depressions. For any examinees appearing for the DEO positions in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), the required typing speed is 15000 Key Depressions per hour for the passage containing about 3700-4000 key depressions.
The typing test for the Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant will be available in both Hindi or English. Examinees opting for the English language for their skill test should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute and that of Hindi should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute. The required key depressions for the English is 10500 per hour and that for the Hindi language is 9000 key depressions per hour respectively.

Tier-III (Skill Test/ Typing Test):
Errors in the Skill Test will be calculated up to 2 decimal places.

SSC CHSL Admit Card 2022
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the SSC CHSL 2022 admit card for the typing test/ skill test14 days before the exam date. Make sure you keep note of the SSC CHSL 2022 Exam Date
- Candidates will be able to download the admit card of SSC CHSL 2022 from the respective regional website of SSC.
- To download the SSC CHSL admit card, candidates will have to enter their name/ registration id/ roll number and date of birth/ password.
- Candidates who successfully fill the application form for the SSC CHSL exam will only be issued admit card to appear for the Tier I exam.
- Candidates must ensure that all the details specified are correct. In case of any discrepancy, candidates must contact the examination authority to get it changed.
