Eligibility Criteria
Age limit
Candidates should be aged between 18 and 23 years. The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per the government regulations.
Educational Qualification
Candidate should have a Matriculation or 10th class from a recognized Board/ University.
Note:
The candidates must bring all relevant documents/ certificates in original with self-attested copies of age, education, caste, domicile, hill area, any category for relaxation, No Objection Certificate (NOC)/ discharge certificate (in case of ex-servicemen), which will be checked/ verified at the time of DME by CAPF Board.

The vacancy list for the year 2021 is yet to be released by the SSC.
Scheme of Examination
Firstly, there will be a computer-based test, for which the candidate has to attend after submitting the online application. The date and venue of the examination will be intimated online. Also, candidates should download the admit card.
The CBE consists of four parts and exams will be objective Multiple Choice Type. The exam will be conducted in English and Hindi only. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks. The time duration will be 90 minutes. All questions will be of matriculation level.
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This includes questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding, and decoding.

General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially of sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research.
Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work.

English/ Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand the Basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Based on the performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST by the Commission. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centers finalized by the CAPFs. Detailed scrutiny of candidates’ eligibility or documents will be undertaken at the time of DME.
