The Staff Selection Commission selects eligible and suitable candidates to the post of Ground Duty Constable in Delhi Police by conducting a recruitment drive every year. The notification for the 2021 recruitment will be released soon by the SSC. It was earlier scheduled to be released in May 2021. However, it is now postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. The aspirants who aim to get posted in Delhi police must start preparing at the earliest. As the first step, let us discuss SSC GD Constable Syllabus and Exam pattern in this post. The Exam consists of three phases as mentioned in their official Notification via their official website.
Phase 1: – Written Exam (Objective type)
Phase 2: – Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test
Phase 3: – Medical Test
If you qualify for all the three phases then you will get the post of Constable General Duty in BSF, SSB, CRPF, NIA, CISF, SSF, ITBP, Rifleman in Assam Rifles.
SSC GD Written Latest Exam Pattern 2021
The first phase of SSC GD Exam will be Objective Type. The exam will be conducted online. Those who qualify in the written test will be considered for the physical exam. The question paper consists of 4 parts for 25 Marks each as shown in the table below:

Each question carries 1 mark and time duration for the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). Questions asked in the Exam will be of Matriculation level. The Online examination will be conducted in English and Hindi Languages.

Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test Pattern
SSC GD Physical Test is a very important phase of SSC GD Exam Pattern for those candidates who want to get selected as SSC GD Constable. Every candidate will have to undergo physical endurance & measurement test. The Physical test will not carry any marks but it is very crucial to clear it. You won’t be get the job if you fail in the physical test.
SSC GD Physical Standard for Male Candidates
Height – 170 cm.
Chest – 81 (Unexpanded), 85 (Expanded)
Race – 5 km in 24 minutes. (1 Mile in 6 ½ Minutes for Ladakh Region )
SSC GD Physical Standards for Female Candidates
Height – 157 cm.
Chest – Not applicable for female candidates
Race – 1.6 KMs in 8 ½ minutes. (800 Metres for Ladakh Region – 4 minute)

Medical Test Pattern
As per the notification candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein and squint in eyes. They must be in physically and mentally fit. X-Ray & Blood Test etc. will be conducted only for such candidates, who have passed all the level of the medical test.
