What is the posting key and why is it used?
A posting key is a two-digit alphanumeric code used to control and determine the type of accounting transaction being posted. It determines the accounts that will be affected by the transaction. It specifies the account type and the screen layout of line items and whether the line item is debit or credit entry.
What is financial statement version ?
Financial statement versions helps to group all the related accounts to get the balance sheet and income statement for the purpose of reporting. SAP systems uses them when creating the balance sheet and P&L reports.
How are input and output taxes handled in SAP FICO?
Input tax is related to vendor transactions and output tax is related to customer transactions. These taxes are configured in SAP using T code FTXP.
What do you mean by year-dependent fiscal year variant?
A year-dependent fiscal year variant is a variant that only applies to a specific calendar year. To do this, you should select the field Year-dependent when you define your fiscal year variants.
