TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts Apply Online 2026 – Keep These Ready Before You Start Applying
1. Active email ID and mobile number
Both are mandatory for registration and must stay active. TNPSC answers queries only if they come from your registered email ID. Do not share your email, password or mobile number with anyone.
2. Aadhaar linked to OTR
Linking your Aadhaar number with your One Time Registration is mandatory for creating a new OTR, renewing or accessing an existing one, and applying for any recruitment.
3. SSLC details
You need your correct SSLC register number, certificate number, month and year of passing, medium of instruction and board name. If you have more than one SSLC mark sheet, use the one from the final attempt in which you passed. A wrong detail can lead to rejection at any stage.
4. Photograph (as per the notification)
- Colour passport-size photo against a white background, taken in a photo studio, in front view showing both ears and part of the neck.
- Taken on or after the notification date (31 August 2026).
- Your name and date of photography must be printed at the bottom.
- Size: 4.5 cm height × 3.5 cm width (170 × 130 pixels). The face area is 3.0 cm (115 px) and the name and date strip is 1.5 cm (55 px).
- File: JPG, 20 KB to 50 KB, 200 DPI, saved as Photograph.jpg.
- Not accepted: selfies, mobile phone photos, photocopies, photos from functions or tourist places, or photos with plants or buildings in the background.
5. Signature
- Draw a box of 6.0 × 2.0 cm (230 × 75 pixels) on white paper and sign inside it with a blue or black ink pen.
- Scan at 200 DPI, crop to show only the box, and save as Signature.jpg of 10 KB to 20 KB.

How to Apply Online for TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts 2026
Step 1: Complete One Time Registration (OTR)
- Go to www.tnpscexams.in.
- Register through the One Time Registration platform and pay the ₹150 OTR fee. If you are already registered, skip to Step 2.
- Link your Aadhaar, fill in your profile accurately and upload your photograph and signature.
OTR is not an application for any post. It only stores your profile, and you must apply separately for every exam.
Step 2: Log in and select the notification
- Log in with the User ID and password you created. Use the Forgot User ID / Forgot Password options if needed, because TNPSC will not send them to you.
- Find the Combined Technical Services Examination (Interview Posts) notification and click Apply.
- Check the OTR details that appear on screen. Correct anything wrong using OTR Edit before you continue.
Step 3: Choose your post(s) and subject paper(s)
Select the post and subject paper for which you hold the required qualification. Each additional subject paper costs an extra ₹200.
Step 4: Fill in the application
Complete each page and click Save and Proceed only after checking every field. Enter your details, community, qualification, experience, disability or concession claims, and Tamil Eligibility Test exemption (if you are a differently abled candidate).
Step 5: Upload photograph, signature and documents
Upload a fresh photograph taken on or after the notification date, your signature, and all supporting documents for every claim you make. Unclear uploads can lead to rejection.
Step 6: Choose two exam centres
You can choose two district centres for the written exam and will be allotted a venue in one of them. Candidates with benchmark disability can choose only one centre. A change of centre is not allowed later.
The centres are: Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Kancheepuram, Nagercoil, Karur, Madurai, Namakkal, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Thoothukudi, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Vellore and Virudhunagar.
Step 7: Check the preview
Click Preview to see your application. An SMS goes to your mobile, and the preview is available in your registered email. If anything is wrong, reopen the application with Edit, correct it and submit again before the last date.
Step 8: Pay the fee and submit
Pay through net banking, credit/debit card or UPI, then click Submit. You are considered to have applied only after you click Submit. A preview alone does not count as applying.
Step 9: Save your Application Number
After a successful transaction, an Application Number / Applicant ID is generated. Note it and take a printout. You do not need to post the printout to TNPSC unless asked.

| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| One Time Registration (once, valid 5 years) | ₹150 |
| Examination fee (one subject paper) | ₹200 |
| Each additional subject paper | ₹200 more |
- Fee is not refunded if you withdraw a subject paper.
- Eligible special categories can claim an exemption or free chances, with the details in Annexure II of the notification. Choose Yes or No for the fee concession carefully, because it cannot be edited after submission.
- A concession claim uses up one free chance even if you applied for a different post. If you make a false claim, you can be rejected and debarred for one year.
If your payment fails
- Check the transaction status first. Retry only if the earlier attempt actually failed.
- Failed amounts debited from your account are reverted.
- Do not press Back or Refresh while waiting for the server response, to avoid double payment.
- Without a fee paid before the last date, the application will be rejected.
TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts Application Correction Window: 10 to 12 October 2026
After the last date, TNPSC opens a 3-day correction window from 10 October 2026, 12:01 AM to 12 October 2026, 11:59 PM.
- You can edit the details in your submitted application.
- If you want to change details that come from OTR, edit your OTR profile first, then edit the application.
- Save and submit again. Unsaved edits are ignored, and your earlier submission will be considered.
- If the edit increases the fee (for example, an extra subject paper), you must pay the difference.
- Nothing can be changed after the window closes, and requests to modify claims are not entertained.
TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts Apply Online 2026 – Document Upload Deadline
If a certificate was uploaded wrongly or missed, you can upload or re-upload documents until two days before hall ticket release (twelve days before the exam). Uploaded documents stay linked to your OTR for two years, so you will not need to upload them again for other posts within that time.
Common Mistakes That Lead to TNPSC CTSE Application Rejection
- Wrong SSLC or OTR details
