TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts Exam Pattern 2026 – Topics, Marks & Details
The selection for TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts has three stages: a Computer Based Test (CBT), certificate verification, and an interview. Counselling follows on the basis of rank. Both written papers are objective type.

Paper-wise Exam Pattern – TNPSC CTSE Interview Posts 2026
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Question type: Objective type with five options per question, shown one at a time on screen.
- Tamil eligibility test is qualifying: If you score below 40% in Part A, your Part B, Part C and Paper II answers are not evaluated.
- Differently abled candidates may claim exemption from Part A by uploading the disability certificate.
- All three are compulsory: Paper I, Paper II and the Interview. Missing any one means you won’t be considered for selection, even if you meet the minimum marks.
- Subject paper: Paper II is post-specific, so choose only the paper(s) in which you hold the prescribed qualification.
- Additional papers: Each additional subject paper opted costs ₹200.
- Wrong subject: An answer sheet written in a subject other than the one opted in the application is invalidated.
- Extra time: Candidates with benchmark disability and a writing limitation get compensatory time of at least 20 minutes per hour.

If two candidates score equal total marks, the rank is decided in this order:
- The candidate senior in age ranks higher
- Higher marks in the written examination
- Earlier application number
