Is the UCO Bank Apprentice post a permanent banking job?
No. This is not a permanent job. It is only a one-year training program conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Apprentices are considered trainees, not bank employees. After the completion of training, the bank is not bound to offer a permanent job. However, the experience gained will help you in preparing for future bank recruitment exams like IBPS, SBI, or other PSU bank jobs.
Will UCO Bank give a job after completing the apprenticeship?
There is no direct appointment after the apprenticeship. The purpose of this scheme is to give practical banking exposure and skill development. Once the apprenticeship ends, you will receive a government-recognized apprenticeship certificate, which can improve your resume and increase your chances of getting selected in future banking or finance sector jobs.
Can a candidate apply for more than one state?
No. A candidate can apply for only one state/UT.
If a person submits two applications for different states, both applications will be rejected. Also, the apprentice will be posted in any district of the selected state depending on bank requirements.
