The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) conducts the Assistant Sub Inspectors Clerk and Accountant open recruitment to find the best graduates across the country to serve the state police. While both male and female graduates under 28 years are eligible for the position, they should also possess some of the below-given qualifications.

• Marital Status: Any applicants who have married another alive person’s spouse and those who have married twice despite having an alive spouse are not eligible to apply for the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment.
• Nationality: To get eligible for the UP Police ASI posts, the candidate should be either:

1. an Indian citizen, or
2. a Tibetan refugee migrated to India permanently before 1st January 1962, or
3. an Indian origin person migrated permanently to India from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania.

• UP Police ASI Age Limit: Candidates age’s shall be between 18 years and 28 years as of the last date for the online application. There shall be relaxation in the upper age limit criteria for candidates belonging to various categories following the Uttar Pradesh government rules. UP Police ASI Exam Qualification

• Education Qualification: Candidates should have compiled graduation/ degree in any stream from any UGC recognized university or its equivalent. Candidates applying towards the position of Uttar Pradesh Police Assistant Sub Inspector Accountant position should have the graduation in Commerce stream or they should possess Post Graduate Diploma in Accounts.
• UP Police ASI Skill Set: Aspirants appearing for the Assistant Sub Inspectors post in the Uttar Pradesh Police should possess typing skills in both English and Hindi language. Those applying for the post of ASI Clerk should have a typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi and 30 words per minute in English. If the candidates are applying for the ASI Accountant post, the required typing speed for the Hindi language is 15 words per minute. Both position applicants should also possess the NIELIT O Level Certificate or its equivalent from a government recognized organization.
