VSSC Eligibility Criteria 2025: Technician, Draughtsman & Other Vacancies

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed SSLC/SSC/10th standard along with ITI/NTC/NAC certification in the relevant trade. For the Pharmacist-A position, a First Class Diploma in Pharmacy is mandatory.

Age Limit:
Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years old, following government regulations.

Physical Standards:
Physical requirements will vary according to the specific trade or job role.

Age Relaxation:
Relaxation in upper age limits is available as per government norms:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years (for reserved posts)
• Additional relaxations apply for departmental candidates, ex-servicemen, disabled defense personnel, meritorious sportspersons, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

PwBD Quota Adjustment:
Candidates under the PwBD category must have at least 40% disability and will be adjusted against vacancies in their respective categories (EWS, SC, ST, OBC, or General). They are eligible for relevant relaxations as per government guidelines.

Temporary Nature of Posts:
All advertised vacancies are temporary but are expected to continue.

Eligibility Cut-off Date:
Candidates must possess all necessary qualifications on or before the closing date of application, which is 16th June 2025.

Eligibility Beyond Reserved Posts:
PwBD candidates may also apply for posts not explicitly reserved for them if the post suits their disability. However, selection in such cases will be purely merit-based.

VSSC Selection Process 2025: Technician, Draughtsman & Other Posts

VSSC Selection will be done through the following stages:

• Written Test
• Skill Test

Written Test Details:

• Format: 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Syllabus: Based on qualifying exam curriculum
• Marking: +1 for correct, -0.33 for wrong answers
• Passing Marks:

  • Reserved categories: 24/80 (for reserved posts only)

• Shortlisting: Top candidates in a 1:5 ratio (minimum 10) will be called for the skill test.

Skill Test Details:

• Nature: Qualifying only
• Minimum Marks:

• • UR & EWS: 50/100

  • Reserved categories: 40/100

• Final Selection: Based on written test marks among skill-test qualifiers. In case of a tie, academic marks will decide.

NOC Requirement:

• Candidates employed in government or public sector must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the skill test stage. Failure to produce NOC leads to disqualification.

Reservation Certificates:

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Valid certificate as of 09.05.2025, mentioning non-creamy layer status, plus a self-declaration (Annexures I & II). Certificates after 16.06.2025 are invalid.
• EWS: Income and asset certificate valid for FY 2025-26 as per DOPT guidelines, required at skill test. Income calculated for FY 2024-25. Non-compliance leads to general category consideration.
• SC/ST: Valid certificate as on 16.06.2025 (Annexure IV), originals to be shown at skill test.
• PwBD: Valid disability certificate from Competent Authority, mandatory at skill test.
• Ex-Servicemen: Relevant certificates required at skill test.

Important Notes:

• Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee selection.
• Only Indian nationals can apply.
• No interim queries will be entertained.
• Any form of canvassing results in disqualification.

How to Apply for VSSC Vacancy 2025

Application Mode:
Applications are accepted exclusively online via the official VSSC website. Offline submissions will not be accepted.

Important Dates:
Apply online at www.vssc.gov.in from 2 June 2025, 10:00 AM to 16 June 2025, 5:00 PM.

For NCS Registered Candidates:
Candidates registered on the National Career Service (NCS) portal must also apply through the ISRO website if eligible.

Key Instructions:

• After registration, save your unique Registration Number for future reference.
• Women candidates are encouraged to apply to promote gender balance.
• Applicants should be prepared for biometric verification during the selection process.
• No need to send hard copies of applications or documents by post.
• Incomplete or multiple applications will be rejected; only the latest paid application before the deadline will be considered.
• Keep a printout of your completed application for records.

Communication & Updates:

• All notifications, admit cards, and updates will be posted only on the VSSC website and sent via email. No notifications will be published in newspapers or Employment News.

VSSC 2025 Application Fee & Refund Details

All candidates must pay ₹500 online via SBI ePay using Credit/Debit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI. Other payment methods are not accepted. Applicants bear any service charges.

Refund Policy:

• Full refund on appearing for the written test is given to Female, SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, and PwBD candidates, subject to document verification.
• Other candidates receive ₹400 back after deducting bank charges if they appear for the test.
• No refunds for incomplete, rejected, or non-submitted applications.

Important:
Applicants must provide accurate bank details (Account Number, IFSC, Bank Name, Branch, Account Holder) to receive refunds. Incorrect details may delay or prevent refund.

Document Upload:
Reserved category candidates must upload valid certificates to claim full fee refund:

• SC/ST: Caste certificate
• Ex-servicemen: Discharge certificate
