The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has commenced inviting online applications from qualified aspirants for recruitment to the posts termed as ‘Assistant’ for the year 2021-22. Likewise, the online objective examination for the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs has commenced for the recruitment to the job position of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III). This examination is to be organised by the IBPS.

Eligibility Criteria by Age: RBI Assistant vs IBPS RRB Officer
In the case of the general/unreserved category, the RBI assistant post has an age limit range of 20-28 years. The age limit permitted for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1,2 and 3 is as in the following table

- For the RBI Assistant post, a language proficiency test is conducted for the aspirants who qualify for the main exam
- Candidates should achieve the individual cut off marks for each subject as well as above the cut off marks of the collective score. This rule is applicable in the case of both exams

Interview: RBI Assistant vs IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1,2 and 3
- There is no interview for RBI Assistant.
- Applicants who have been selected via the main exam for the post of Officers Scale 1 and in the single level exam for the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3 will be called for an Interview
- It will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank.
- The process is done with the help of NABARD and IBPS
- The centres, name of the venue, time, date and detailed address of the venue for the Interview will be given to the selected aspirants in the call letter.
- Applicants should download their interview call letters from IBPS official website.
- The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The lowest qualifying score in the interview for Officers Scale 1,2 and 3 will be given in guidelines.
- The relative weightage of the Online objective Exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
- An aspirant should qualify both in the Online objective Exam and Interview and still have a high enough total score in the merit to be chosen for the next step i.e. provisional allotment process.
- Details of the provisional allotment process will be provided later on the official website of IBPS.
