The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has commenced inviting online applications from qualified aspirants for recruitment to the posts termed as ‘Assistant’ for the year 2021-22. Likewise, the online objective examination for the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs has commenced for the recruitment to the job position of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III). This examination is to be organised by the IBPS.

Eligibility Criteria by Age: RBI Assistant vs IBPS RRB Officer

In the case of the general/unreserved category, the RBI assistant post has an age limit range of 20-28 years. The age limit permitted for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1,2 and 3 is as in the following table

Required Educational Qualifications: RBI Assistant vs IBPS RRB Officer

Below given are the educational qualifications required for the said posts.

RBI Assistant ·        A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in total

·        For SC, ST and PwBD aspirants Bachelor’s Degree in any field with a minimum pass class

·        Should have practical knowledge of word processing on PC.

·         an Ex-servicemen who wish to apply must be a graduate from an established University / should have passed the matriculation/equivalent exam conducted by the Armed Forces. They also must have done a minimum of 15 years of defence service

·        should be proficient in the local language of the particular state or regions falling under the vacancy of the office to which you are applying (i.e. know to read, write, speak and comprehend the language)

RRB Officer scale 1/assistant manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ equivalent
  •  Applicants possessing a degree in the fields given below are preferred:
  1. Agriculture
  2. Horticulture
  3. Forestry
  4. Animal Husbandry
  5. Veterinary Science
  6. Agricultural Engineering
  7. Pisciculture
  8. Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation
  9. Information Technology
  10. Management
  11. Law
  12. Economics
  13. Accountancy;
  • Should be proficient in the local language of the region of selection as said by participating RRBs. (Applicants who have already studied the said language of the State in standard VIII or above standard VIII in Government recognized Boards of Education. Otherwise, 6 months’ time will be given after joining to learn the language)
  • practical knowledge of Computer is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field from a recognized University/equivalent with at least 50% marks in total.
  • Preference will be given to fields given below.

2 years as an officer in a Bank / Financial Institution.

 

RRB Officer Scale-II/

Specialist Officers

/Manager

Information Technology Officer

·        Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent with at least a total of 50% marks, from a certified University and in fields such as:

1.    Electronics

2.   Communication

3.   Computer Science

4.   Information Technology

·        Certificates that will make you a more preferable candidate are:

1.    PHP

2.   C++

3.   Java

4.   VB

5.   VC

6.   OCP

7.   ASP

One year (in the relevant field)

 

Chartered Accountant

·        Certified Associate i.e. CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

1 Year experience as a Chartered Accountant.
Law Officer

·        Degree/ equivalent from a recognized University in Law with at least 50% of the total marks.

·        2 years as an advocate or

·        should have worked as Law Officer in Banks /Financial Institutions for more than two years

Treasury Manager

Either of the following qualifications is required:

·        Chartered Accountant from a recognized institution

·        MBA in Finance from a recognized university

1 Year experience in a relevant field

 

Marketing Officer

·        MBA in Marketing from a government certified university

1 Year experience in a relevant field
Agricultural Officer

Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in total from a recognized university in fields like:

·        Agriculture

·        Horticulture

·        Dairy

·        Animal Husbandry

·        Forestry

·        Veterinary Science

·        Agricultural Engineering

·        Pisciculture

2Year experience in a relevant field

 

RRB Officer Scale 3 / Senior Manager ·        Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent in any field from a certified University with at least 50% marks in total.

·        candidates having a Degree/ Diploma in the following fields will be preferred:

  • For the RBI Assistant post, a language proficiency test is conducted for the aspirants who qualify for the main exam
  • Candidates should achieve the individual cut off marks for each subject as well as above the cut off marks of the collective score. This rule is applicable in the case of both exams

Interview: RBI Assistant vs IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1,2 and 3

  • There is no interview for RBI Assistant.
  • Applicants who have been selected via the main exam for the post of Officers Scale 1 and in the single level exam for the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3 will be called for an Interview
  • It will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank.
  • The process is done with the help of NABARD and IBPS
  • The centres, name of the venue, time, date and detailed address of the venue for the Interview will be given to the selected aspirants in the call letter.
  • Applicants should download their interview call letters from IBPS official website.
  • The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The lowest qualifying score in the interview for Officers Scale 1,2 and 3 will be given in guidelines.
  • The relative weightage of the Online objective Exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
  • An aspirant should qualify both in the Online objective Exam and Interview and still have a high enough total score in the merit to be chosen for the next step i.e. provisional allotment process.
  • Details of the provisional allotment process will be provided later on the official website of IBPS.
