Kerala PSC Assistant APO or the Assistant Prison Officer recruitment is open to all matriculates under 36 years. Anybody who has passed the SSLC and has the required physical fitness can try for this opportunity. Unlike other PSC tests, Assistant Prison Officer written examination is in Malayalam and the syllabus is very much similar to that of LGS and LDC. Assistant Prison Officer exam is comparatively in the easier side and with dedicated hard work, you can crack this written test with much ease.

Assistant Prison Officer Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification: Candidates should have passed the SSLC/ Matriculation or its equivalent from any recognized board.
- Age Limit: Candidates age shall be between 18 years to 36 years. Age relaxations according to the government norms are applicable.
- Physical Fitness: Candidates must have at least 165 cm height and must be minimum 81.3 cms round the chest on full exhalation and must have a chest expansion of 5 cms. For candidates from SC/ ST category a height of 160 cm will be sufficient.

Each eye must have the full field of vision. Color Blindness, Squint or any abnormal or diseased condition of the eye or the lids of either eye are not permitted.

Kerala PSC APO Exam Pattern
There shall be a written examination and a Physical Efficiency Test for the selection. The written examination pattern is as follows:
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Exam Duration: 01 hours 15 minutes
- Number of Questions: 100
- Exam Language: Malayalam
HOW TO JOIN The KERALA POLICE ACADEMY
The candidates must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star
Standard Test. The events are:

The Physical measurement of candidates will be taken during the Physical Efficiency Test. There will no be any Physical Efficiency Test for those candidates who failed in the required physical measurement test.
